Mt 6:5-13. Dan Kroon. Prayer is an essential part of spending time with God. As we mentioned last week, quiet times are a conversation – he speaks to us in his Word and we speak to him in prayer. One of the most important aspects of being made in God’s image is that we are able to communicate – to listen and to speak. And in this huge topic of prayer, there is no better passage to consider than the Lord’s Prayer. No matter how well we know it, there are always things to learn and be encouraged by. Most of all, the reminder of who we pray to and our relationship with him. He is our Father in heaven and we are his children on earth. Prayer, like his Word, is an act where heaven and earth overlap and we converse with the living God.
